Triple Science Triple Science is a combination of three GCSEs in biology, chemistry and physics. The Triple Science Support Programme has been set up to support the DSCF policy objectives.

We are offering a combination of school based consultancy and courses at the Centre to meet your school’s Triple Science needs.

Impact Awards for 2008/9


This year the Department for Children, Schools and Families is providing Impact Award bursaries of £200 per day, to help you pay for CPD at your regional Science Learning Centre.

Course fees are typically only £125 per day, so the Impact Award will pay for your fees and also contribute towards your other costs.

Run by the White Rose University Consortium, the Centre brings together the resources of the regions leading academic institutions - the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam and York.

Wonderland: A new art/science project coming to Sheffield - 18th June to 13th July (date posted: Wed 4, June)
Over the past three years a scientist and an artist/designer have worked together to create real solutions for a more suistainable world. For the first time visitors can see the results of their conversations and collaborations in a Sheffield city-wide art science event.
