North East schoolchildren are being invited to put science in the picture. Science Learning Centre North East operated through Durham University, is asking youngsters to design a poster which could be used to promote scientific research throughout the European Union (EU).

Darwin celebrated (date posted: Fri 3, July)
A fascinating evening of presentation, discussion and refreshments was held at the Science Learning Centre Yorkshire and the Humber to celebrate 200 years of Charles Darwin and, in particular, his legacy to science education. With guest speaker conservationist Randal Keynes, Charles Darwin's great-great-grandson.
